I can only speak to Detroit specifically. The culture of my city is what I love about Detroit. This is a place where people don’t fake who they are. People are not afraid to keep it real about their aspirations, faults and quirks. The definitive characteristic I love is the grittiness about Detroit. People are about hitting the grindstone to be a “I have” person rather than a “I have not.”
